We are looking for an experienced chef to take the lead and with our help create their own dining experience at Flour and Spoon. We will require a business model showing your idea, your dishes and your business forecast. This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and passionate individual who shares the same vision as us and most importantly who loves food!

Flour and Spoon is set in a charming early 17th century building in the heart of Chelmsford. We take pride in exemplary customer service, high quality baked goods using locally sourced ingredients and creating exceptional seasonal dishes for our menu making us a beloved destination for both visitors and locals alike.  

 

The candidate must have experience of preparing and cooking fresh food to a high standard, be well motivated and get on well with others. A good sense of humour is essential! We are looking for someone to assist the team and take responsibility for preparing and cooking good quality food in a busy environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of food hygiene. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include running the kitchen making sure each dish is prepared and presented to perfection that reflect our commitment to excellence, ordering of

stock, waste management, making sure the kitchen is prepped and ready to go for service, contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials, stock rotation & cleanliness. Great organisation skills and speed is a must.

 

We require a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment,

proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, strong leadership skills and knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
