CROWDFUND - LOAF and MILK
The tradition of bread and milk holds a special place in various cultures, often symbolising comfort, nourishment, and home. This simple combination has served as a staple food for many, functioning both as a meal and a bedtime snack. In the UK, it is commonly associated with childhood memories, evoking a sense of warmth and security.
In many households, bread and milk might be prepared as toast with a splash of milk or simply enjoyed together in a bowl, with the bread soaking up the milk. This practice can bring about nostalgia, summoning images of family gatherings or quiet evenings. The flavours blend harmoniously, with the bread providing substance and the milk offering a creamy texture.
Show your support and as reward we will give you a glass bottle filled with Guernsey and Jersey unhomogenised Suffolk milk together with a loaf of your choice.
Flour and Spoon is asking all of you lovely people to help raise 25k to be able to purchase a bigger mixer which will allow us to have a higher, more efficient operation in place. To be able to connect such a high-power mixer we will also need to connect a 3-phase power network.
The demand in our community for our ‘real sourdough’ has increased dramatically over the years since we opened our very first site in Leigh-On-Sea.
Our award-winning sourdough is sold within a few hours as it’s taken out of the ovens and we are unable to meet the high demand at this moment.
With a 250l mixer we could easily meet the demand for not only our customers but also for our wholesale businesses and spread the sourdough love. It will enable us to bring real sourdough to our local community, take on more wholesale custom and help in opening our new site in Rayleigh!
We would love YOU to be a part of the Flour and Spoon next journey.
Join us in making this dream a reality, we would love your support!
